It's been a few days since my lost post, so I thought I'd better update you all with what's happening between now and the next Mudder, up on the Sunshine Coast mid-August.
With a bit less than 15 weeks left, I have upped my training. I am still doing my regular 6km runs around the block with my Training Mask (more times than not getting better PB's), and I've thrown in some longer runs mask-less. I am slowly upping these runs to 10km along the dirt track near my house. I try to do these longer runs whenever it's raining, as it makes the track muddier, and more Mudder like. I will be heading up to the 1000 steps in Mt Dandenong again this weekend, and get back into going there weekly. I haven't been in quite a while, and I've missed the scenery up there! I just hope my 1000 steps training partner is free this weekend! I've started implementing my newly acquired logs into my runs now too, which I wrote about a few posts ago.

These bad boys are a lot heavier than they appear. They were also freebies (I acquired them out of someone's yard around the corner from my house one night ...).
As well as all this training, I still have hockey training Wednesday nights and a game at some point during the weekend. As the weeks go by, I will be upping all the intensity of my training, to be Sunshine Coast Mudder ready.
At the next Mudder, I am currently planning on running three times: Twice on Saturday and then once on Sunday. After easily running twice in Auckland a couple weeks ago, I feel with just a little bit of extra training, I will be fine with the extra run over the weekend. This extra run will make it about 60km of Mudder in the 2 days. I will have to find out what times the Saturday waves start and finish, as I will run in the first wave to be able to (hopefully) make at least the last wave that leaves. The Sunday run will be a slow one, I assume, so I will run in the first wave again. Hopefully I get another crowd surf - that was killer fun!
These 3 Sunshine Coast runs will be my 7th, 8th and 9th overall Tough Mudders. I'll get (hopefully) my pink 7-9x headband, and will then be able to get the illusive 10x Mudder headband a month later in Perth in September. I am still yet to receive my yellow 4-6x headband, or even hear anything from TM about it. I will start chasing this up in a couple weeks' time if I've still heard nothing.
Speaking of Perth, I am currently looking for someone to run Perth Tough Mudder with in September. I am flying over solo from Melbourne at the moment, and would love someone to run with!

15 weeks left till my next Mudder review. Don't worry, there is still a lot happening until then. I have a number of new and exciting posts lined up, including an "obstacle series", a "training series", a "how to series", and a "Product Review series" which will review certain products that I've been using on the TMTour2014, including the Training Mask that I'm always raving about. A lot of people have been asking about it ever since I put up the photo of me wearing it a month ago (see below). Lots of interesting stuff coming at you guys over the next few months!
