This morning I awoke and thought I would go for a particularly long run today. 11 km to my parents' house, and back again. This is the longest run I've gone on since Tough Mudder Melbourne 3 weeks ago.
The first leg wasn't too bad. As per usual, at the start of any run, I hated it (I loathe running if you hadn't realised already), but pushed through and just tuned out everything but the music in my headphones. Run details:
Duration: 1hr 09min 24sec
Distance: 11.17 km
Avg pace: 6.12 min/km
Avg speed: 9.7 kph
Weather: Fine
Mood: Happy enough to finish without much worry.
After hanging around there for about an hour, I left again for the journey back home. As soon as I ran out the
