So it's Friday afternoon, the day before the first Tough Mudder of the year, in Melbourne Phillip Island. I am pretty nervous for the coming weekend, as it was only a couple days ago that I was able to lose the sling I've been wearing for the past 5 weeks.
I have not done much training at all for this Tough Mudder, because of my bung shoulder, except riding my stationary bike every few days. But that is not nearly enough for what I'm planning on doing this year! I am still currently not able to do push-ups or pull-ups, as the pain in my shoulder in unbearable when I try. It's going to be very interesting running the 20km course on both Saturday and Sunday with little to no training. I haven't even been able to play hockey, netball or indoor soccer this past 5 weeks, which has been killing me! I need my sport in my life!

I am about to leave to drive down to the Island, to stay in my mate Sally's beach house in Kilcunda, about 10 minutes out of Philip Island, if that. As it is only a 15 minute drive to the Phillip Island Race Track, where TM Melbourne is situated, it is the perfect place to stay for the weekend.
Tonight will consist of pasta and Gatorade for dinner, plenty of stretching, lots of relaxing on the couch watching the footy (I assume), and an early bedtime.
This is just a quick post pre-event. Updates about the first Tough Mudder of the year in the next couple days!
